TCS Q4 net falls 2.1 pc to Rs 1,333 cr on q-o-q basis

  The country's top software exporter, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) reported a 2.1 percent decline in its net profit at Rs 1,333 crore for the fourth quarter ended 31st March 2009.

The revenue for the fourth quarter stood at Rs 7,172 crore, down 1.40 percent quarter-on-quarter basis, the company said on Monday.

For the financial year ended March 2009, TCS reported a 4.58 percent growth in consolidated net profit at Rs 5,256.42 crore. The firm had a net profit of Rs 5,026.02 crore in FY'08.

The consolidated net sales in 2008-09 stood at Rs 27,812.88 crore, up 21.65 percent over the previous year.
