Neo cricket bags TV rights again

BCCI has awarded telecast rights of all international cricket matches to be played from next April to Nimbus Communication Pvt Ltd's cricket channel Neo Cricket for the next four years.


The deal has been closed with BCCI at whooping Rs. 2000 crores.

Nimbus would have to pay guarantee money of Rs. 660 crores to kick-start the initiative.

For every match Nimbus would have to pay 31.5 crores to the BCCI.

Their existing contract with BCCI is due to end on March 2010.

Nimbus had earlier bagged the Television rights for the duration of 2006-2010, which is due to end this March.

Now after pocketing the rights of four more years startinf from 2010-2014, Nimbus has cemented its alliance with the BCCI even further.
