47,000 unemployed in Moscow: report

  The total number of officially registered unemployed people in Moscow has crossed 46,600, the Moscow City Department of Russia's Federal Employment Service has said.

The highest number of jobless persons was reported from Moscow's Eastern Administrative District (9,000) and the Southern Administrative District (6,200) respectively, the FES said, adding that the least number of unemployed were reported from Zelenograd (2,100) and the Central Administrative District (2,200).

In the period from 6th to 10th April, as many as 135 organisations in Moscow had informed about the forthcoming reduction in the number of employees by 3,404, the report said.

The report, however, said that the job data bank of Moscow's Employment Service has informed about 2,31,100 jobs being vacant in the capital.
